I love the lighting and the cinematic feel of this shot. Lisa being a natural poser helped! She responded absolutely perfectly to my direction.
Big thanks to Lisa and Mark for doing a post-wedding-shoot with me at The Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh today. Post-wedding-shoots are a fantastic idea. Everything is usually so rushed on a wedding day that, sometimes, photography is the thing that gets sacrificed <gasp!!> Now, this is your chance to get that photography time back. There is also the fact that post-wedding-shoots are an absolute blast and so much fun to do in their own right. It’s like your very own fashion shoot. At any location you like. If you love photography, this is for you. I can’t think of a better or more fun way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon. So even if you did manage a bagful of shots on your wedding day and regardless of who your original wedding photographer was, book a post-wedding-shoot with me. It’s another chance to wear your dress and don your kilt. And with much more time on your hands, you’ll be much more relaxed and you will love the experience of being photographed. The shots I create will be even more polished because there’s no venue manager telling me I’ve only got 5 more minutes. And at the end of the day, the pictures I give you will be typically me – vibrant, stunning, creative images, full of fun, full of life and with a big dose of glamour. Here are a few previews of a post-wedding-shoot that was a lot of fun. Let me know if you’re interested!

I imagined this shot last night to really show off The Ghillie Dhu's interior. When the time came, without hesitation, Lisa popped her shoes off, jumped onto a big wooden table in the middle of the great hall. What a gal! The dress swish is fantastic!

Just a great shot of a great couple.

I really liked the strong contrast between the softness of the bride and the hard metallic wall panels in reception hall of The Ghillie Dhu.

A really informal and relaxed portrait of Lisa on the stairs of the Ghillie Dhu. Yes, it was set up and directed by me but Lisa's reaction is so natural, she looks amazing. I love this bridal portrait.

In the end, when it was all done and dusted, wee Lucy got in on the act too! Fantastic family.

Thank you so much David, the photos look great:) We didn’t realise how much fun this would be, we had a ball. We were a little nervous at first but you put us at ease immediately (hence the posing lol). Thank you again for a wonderful day and fantastic pictures.
That’s fantastic to hear Lisa! I’m delighted with the pictures. They’re all just how I like them to be
