What you decide to invest in photography really boils down to (i) your overall wedding budget and (ii) what photography means to you. Is it important to you that your wedding photographs are stylish, distinctive, emotionally involving and have that WOW factor? How high is great photography on your list of wedding priorities? Of course, the higher up the list, the more of your budget you should allocate. Because as with most things in life, moreso with photographers, given the number that are out there with vastly varying degrees of talent and experience, you really do get what you pay for. I can’t emphasise that enough; as you go about your research on wedding photographers, be thorough and I’m sure you’ll find this to be true. The most talented and experienced wedding photographers in the UK are charging around £1500 (sometimes more, depending length of coverage and final product) and I’m pretty much in line with this.

Booking me as your wedding photographer is really straightforward. I’ll email you a simple booking form to complete. There’s also a booking fee to pay, normally 50% of your booked package. Once the completed booking form is in my hands and the booking fee paid, your date is secure.

It’s important to note that I work on a first-booking-form-through-the-door basis. I don’t hold dates provisionally for couples, pending a decision, regardless of what stage their enquiry is at. It really is the fairest way for all couples, given the number of enquiries I get and each at a different stage of the decision-making process. So if you want to book me and you want me to secure the date for you, let me know ASAP and I’ll get the ball rolling right away. Because until I am in actual receipt of a completed booking form and also the booking fee, all dates in my diary remain free and available to other couples and other bookings, without notice.

I also have the pleasure of regularly photographing weddings where the couple and the wedding party come from outside Scotland e.g. from all over England, Europe, America, Australia, Dubai, Hong Kong. Booking me to be your photographer from abroad is equally straightforward. Yes, I always love a face to face meeting before the wedding, where we can talk and get to know each a bit more but it isn’t crucial. Or very practical especially if you live far away. But distance is not a hurdle at all. We can have regular communication by email or phone. Payment by bank transfer. And the delivery of your album or disk after the wedding by courier.
