Can I just say that I’m a better photographer than a writer? Right. Disclaimer out of the way, I can start with my random musings. There’s no rhyme or reason to this btw There used to be a time when you mentioned wedding photography, people would immediately think of an endless sucession of stiff, unimaginative family groupshots. Wedding photography used…

There can’t be many more glamourous backdrops in the UK for a business networking event than The Green Room at The Dome in Edinburgh. And I’ve photographed many a corporate AGM in my time in many a conference room all over the country from up in Aberdeen down to Glasgow. Today it was the turn…

Hear, hear ! Being an ex traditionally trained wedding photographer I couldnt agree more. I used to be very irritated by the fact that anyone could lift a camera and call themselves a photographer. I still do the odd wedding for friends and family and feel now that you really have to have two photographers in attendance to get the balance between the ” old and the new “. In my experience the couple want the off the cuff informal photographs but parents and family still want the traditional posed groups. Muse on David !

Or have the one photographer who’s capable in either camp lol
You’re absolutely right though, people want the best of all worlds however it’s delivered. I don’t really blame them. I’d want it too! And it’s down to the photographer to be capable. Thanks for posting Laraine!
